Meaning behind the piece:
You hurt me
in ways a child
should never be hurt.
Yes,
I carry the memories.
Yes,
I carry the invisible scars.
But I do not carry
the version of me
you tried to create.
I bloomed
where you caused pain.
I became my own.
And after everything—
you fucking failed.
Unsaid — Bloomed Anyway, and You F*cking Failed is an original mixed media painting about the things we carry but don’t always speak out loud—the pain, the hurt, the invisible scars, and the memories that stay with us longer than we ever wanted them to.
This piece speaks to surviving what was never deserved. To carrying the weight of painful memories while refusing to become the version someone else tried to force you into. It is about healing that doesn’t erase the past—but grows through it anyway.
The preserved rose, grown in my own garden and sealed in resin, represents resilience: something real, delicate, and alive that continued to bloom despite the damage around it. The gold accents symbolize strength found after pain—beauty reclaimed in places that once held wounds.
